Woodwick Candles: How to Achieve Optimal Burn

For the best burn experience, when lighting your Woodwick candle, make sure to light the wick across the candle instead of just at one end. Initially, there is no need to worry about the wick as the new candle is ready for your first light. Allow the candle to burn until the wax has melted out to the edges of the container, which typically takes between 30 minutes to an hour. Even if the flame seems low at times, it will continue burning.

To ensure an even burn and maximize the candle's burn time, let it burn for at least 2-3 hours so that the melted wax pool reaches the sides of the jar. Failure to do so may cause tunneling down the center of the jar during subsequent burnings. Keeping the wick trimmed to a length of 1/4 inch is essential. If the flame exceeds this height or if the candle starts to smoke, extinguish the candle, let it cool down, and trim the wick before relighting.
